In our research we were able to find nearly 1000 reviews from customers who have purchased and used the Zojirushi BBCCX20 home bakery supreme bread machine and the reviews were very positive to say the least. A lot of people commented on how well the double kneading blades are able to knead the dough without leaving any un-mixed ingredients clinging to the sides of the baking pan and that it makes all the difference when mixing whole grain or multi grain breads. There were also a lot of positive comments about the fully customizable and programmable settings that this machine offers.
There were some negative reviews of this product however which is to be expected with any product. I have had 3 bread machines before this one. I make nearly all the bread we eat. Wore the others out, way too quickly. Broke down and bought the best I could afford–what a difference! Love it. I usually bake bread in the oven so the loaf pan is not the most important thing to me. But the kneading with the twin blades is wonderful. I live in Fl. so i have to add flour sometimes, much more humid here–and the machine is easy to do this with.
I have had this machine maybe around 3 weeks and it’s been fabulous. I’ve made basic white bread, whole wheat bread, sourdough starter and the bread, pizza dough, pretzels and cakes. It’s very easy to use and clean. It does make noise when kneading, but that may be unavoidable. It’s best to take the bread out when it’s done, instead of leaving it in the “keep warm” stage, which can harden the loaf. The only other issue is that when it’s on the cake setting and it beeps for additional items, it’ll beep for 5 minutes and you can’t turn it off.
I’ve exhausted most of the recipes that came in the manual so am now in search of more. I highly recommend this product. I used the older bread machine many years ago and loved it then, too. It’s nice to have healthy, homemade bread available.
Exceptional product with clearly written operations manual. This system makes kitchen bread-making a snap. During the first week, we successfully baked a standard loaf of white bread, a loaf of whole wheat bread, some nut bread, chocolate cake and mixed up two batches of dough for long loaves of French bread for baking in the kitchen oven.
The machine menu provides a large number of options including white and whole wheat bread, jam, cake and up to three “home-made,” self-designed mixtures for special breads. This rig gets a full five stars from this family.
This machine is incredibly quiet, and makes suberb bread. My only suggestion – the recipe book could be more extensive. I have used my other recipes in it and everything including the heaviest 100% whole wheat, oatmeal sesame and raisin bread have turned out perfectly!
Has anybody made gluten free products in this machine? My understanding about making bread in a bread machine such as my old Westbend front loader is that the dough is kneeded too much and causes the loaf to have a crater in the middle. Any recommendations?

The Cuisinart cbk200 has a gluten free setting that does less needing. I just got one and it comes with 6 or 8 GF recipes, My first 3 loaves all came out fine, just got it a few days ago…
its amazing, i never know about this tool before, but las friday, my mom bought it. she use it to make some recipes, i like it..its very quite machine, i suggest to my friend’s mom to buy n use this machine.
some of them not believe it, but when they try on my mom’s kitchen? wow,,they want to buy it for my mom.but my mom said “YOU SHOULD BUY BY YOUR OWNSELF”..

Has anyone used the Panasonic first? I was wondering which of the two machines you’d favor. I’ve had a large 2-lb Panasonic for more years than I can remember. However it is fussy about what bread recipes would work in it. I had to rework almost all the recipes outside Panasonic recipes, and even some of the Panasonic’s fell flat. For this reason I was considering the Zojirushi BBCC-X20. The other feature that interests me is the sourdough starter on the Zojirushi. I understand that using a sourdough starter will keep bread from going stale so fast. Are there any recipe books you’d recommend for the Zojirushi BBCC-X20. I know the best book I’ve ever found was the “Electric Bread.” Although again, I had to rework all the recipes for the Panasonic.
The bread machine has been making some of the best bread we have eaten. Since it’s recipe manual is so limited, I have adapted other bread machine recipes and just used the dough setting on the Zojirushi and hand finished them.
I had problems with this machine from the get go. sometimes the blade comes off during mixing and now it just isn’t mixing the bread completely! What a waste of $200!!!!! Stick with a cheaper brand!

I really like this bread maker but my first loaf of basic white bread was not brown on the top. The color was perfect on the bottom and sides. I had set it on medium. What can I do? Has anyone else had this problem?

I purchased this machine based on a reccomendation and reviews on here. I followed the recipe for basic white bread to the letter, and ended up with clumps of dough, not a loaf of bread. I called Zojirushi and I will say they were promp and helpful, but I still returned the machine. It was explained to me that I needed to make adjustments to the recipe. If that’s the case then I can get a mixer, a recipe book, and cheap loaf pans to go in the oven. This machine is too expensive to need trial and error with it’s own recipes.
